Golden Cornbread

It's my favorite. :)

Golden Cornbread

1 1/4 C all-purpose flour
3/4 C cornmeal (I use yellow)
2 tsp baking powder
1/3 C sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 C whole milk
1/4 C shortening
1 egg

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease an 8x8 or 9-inch pie pan. Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Add milk, shortening, and egg and mix only till well combined. Pour into greased pan. Bake 25-30 minutes. 

Do NOT even THINK about making this without the HONEY BUTTER!!

Mix 1/2 C softened butter and 1/3 C honey on high speed until light and fluffy.
